What sort of work? Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Family team in our Bristol or Cheltenham office.
In this role you will provide legal and administrative support to the team, assisting them in delivering a first-class service to their clients. This will include:
- Providing efficient and effective legal assistance to lawyers.
- Drafting, reviewing and replying to correspondence as required.
- Processing documents (including creating bundles and filing court documents as required).
- Drafting litigation documents as required, including statements of case and witness statements.
- Completing legal research and being aware of current legislation and legal issues.
- Managing files diligently and reviewing each regularly.

Most people in the team choose to work 2-3 days a week in the office, with the balance of time spent working from home, from other offices, at court or client meetings. We pride ourselves on our high-performance culture whilst offering a good work/life balance.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role will be based in our Bristol or Cheltenham office and the ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience of working as a paralegal.
- Previous experience of working in a Family team is desirable.
- Experience of delivering excellent client service to both external and internal clients.
- Excellent IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
Other skills required include:
- Excellent interpersonal skills; effective communication at all levels (written and verbal).
- A commercial, pro-active 'can do' and professional approach to work.
- Experience of working in a process driven environment and working to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrable examples of multi-tasking and an ability to juggle competing priorities and work well under pressure.
- Must interact well with others in a sensitive and effective way - a team player.
